About Esther A Yulfo-Simmons
Art-who can comprehend this Goddess? . As a child I always had crayons, watercolors and various books to copy. My earliest art instruction was with a home study art school.. My mother made certain that I had membership cards to all the museums in New York City. My favorites were the Guggenheim and MOMA.? I spent endless hours staring at the masterpieces and drawing everything my eyes focused on. I finally decided to become a fashion designer and was accepted into the High School of Fashiom Industries and after graduation The Fashion Institute of Technology. Falling in love, marriage and family responsibilities, my artistic endeavors were channeled into designing ethnic clothing and jewelry. The Art Students League in New York City is where I studied pastels and enjoyed theusing the medium until the chalk dust began to effect my respiratory system. For many years I spent every waking moment in corporate Health care and my own business an women's accessory Boutique. Owning theboutique was my greatest accomplishment. Years after closing my business I retired from Health Care and began my second dcareer as an artist. I am an eclectic artist on a magical journey creating images of Impressionism, figurative, abstract and expressionism art. I do not consider myself a reproducer of what I see but a creator of my interpretation of what I see. Life is not about how many breaths you take but how many moments take your breath away. My wish is that you will discover the one piece that will you leave you breathless. Aquire it, preserve it and pass it on!
